During a routine inspection
We reviewed four patient's treatment records which included the patient's signed consent and also evidenced that they were provided with the risks and benefits as well as what the procedure involved.
Records documented a detailed summary of the initial appointment, including an oral examination, soft tissue checks and general dental health advice.
The MOS unit operated effective systems to reduce the risk and spread of infection to maintain patient's safety and welfare.
We reviewed staff files for three staff members and found that the provider had taken steps to ensure people working at the service had relevant skills, experience and professional registrations in place before starting work.
We saw that there was a comprehensive complaints policy available to patients, which described a robust procedure and was available in a format that met their needs.
