During a routine inspection
The relatives we spoke with told us that they were happy with the service they had received and ambulance staff had been helpful and professional. Relatives told us "The ambulance crew were wonderful, they did a good job" and "My mother liked the ambulance staff and they were very kind to her".
People we spoke with from the NHS ambulance trust told us they were very happy with the emergency and urgent response service that St John Ambulance provided.
Staff were appropriately trained and supported to carry out their roles and suitably qualified staff were booked for ambulance duties.
There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. The service had clear policies and procedures in place for staff to follow in relation to infection control and cleaning and disinfecting routines for the ambulances and vehicles used.
