During a routine inspection
People were complimentary about the support they received. One person said, 'I don't know what I would have done without them' and described the support workers as, 'Fantastic'.
The service made sure they had information about the care they needed to provide to the children they supported. Staff told us they were always given this information before their first visit to a family and that this was updated when needed.
Staff were trained to recognise the signs of abuse or neglect and know how they should report this. The manager and senior staff were aware of their role in local safeguarding arrangements and how to report concerns to the local authority.
There were suitable recruitment procedures to reduce the possibility of unsuitable staff being employed. The staff team were experienced and received training to give them the knowledge and skills they needed to do their jobs well. Families felt well supported and appreciated having a small team of support workers.
People were given clear information about how to raise any concerns they might have about the service.
