During a routine inspection
We noted that the dental practice had a policy on safeguarding and staff were knowledgeable about the action they would need to take if they were aware of any allegation or suspicion of abuse. All the patients we spoke with told us staff were friendly and polite. Patients told us that whenever they visited the dental practice, they found that it was clean and hygienic. We noted that the dental practice had appropriate procedures and systems in place to ensure patients were protected from the risk of infections. The manager told us that there was a nominated person for infection control.
All the patients we spoke with confirmed that they knew how to make a complaint if they were not happy with the service. We noted that the clinic had a complaints policy. This ensures that patients concerns were investigated and dealt with by the manager.
