During a routine inspection
The following are examples of some of the comments we received:
'I think it is a really good service.'
'It is good. Nine out of ten.'
'They always review our care.'
'I really feel involved in decisions.'
We found that people using the service felt their views and experiences were taken into account in the way the service was provided and delivered. We also saw evidence that their needs were assessed when they began using the service and a treatment plan was put in place. This was then reviewed regularly.
People who use the service were protected from the risk of abuse because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.
We found that people using the service were cared for by staff who were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard. Staff told us they felt supported in their role, although some did comment that they felt they could have received more training.
The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive. We saw examples of recent audits that had been undertaken to monitor the quality of service provided.
