During a routine inspection
We saw that the service was effective because people were consulted and informed consent was obtained before any treatment was provided. People told us 'I made a choice to come here and the staff fully explained the treatments available' and 'I was happy to come here and get help'. People told us that during the beginning of their treatment the support from the staff team was 'brilliant' and 'I felt really supported and that they cared about me'.
People talked about the importance of the continued support available to them. We were told 'I was really impressed with the aftercare' and 'the group therapy is well organised and not patronising'.
We were able to see that documentation maintained on behalf of people was stored safely with their consent. People confirmed they understood they could make a complaint but we heard 'the staff are very approachable any issues are dealt with as they arise'.
We found people were provided with information and equipment that safeguarded them against the risk of infection.
