During a routine inspection
We heard that the support provided was individualised to meet people's needs. We were told about the treatment programmes available to people according to their presenting need.
We were told that the counsellors supported and enabled people to work toward using harm reduction strategies and staying safe. We were able to see that documentation maintained on behalf of people who used the service was stored safely with their consent.
We found there were safe and effective recruitment and selection processes in place. Appropriate checks were undertaken before staff began work which ensured people were protected from the risks of being treated by unsuitable staff.
People were made aware of the complaint system. We read how people's complaints were fully investigated and resolved to their satisfaction.
During our visit we found people were provided with information and equipment that safeguarded them against the risk of infection.
