Lynhales Hall Nursing Home

Lynhales Hall Nursing Home is a residential and nursing home providing care to older people with physical and health related support needs, some of whom also live with dementia. The home is registered to accommodate 73 people. At the time of the assessment there were 60 people using the service. The assessment was completed between 23 April 2024 and 19 June 2024. An unannounced site visit to the home was carried out on 23 April 2024. We spoke with people that use the service, relatives and staff during our on site visit. The rating at our last inspection (published 26 June 2023) was good. The overall rating for this service remains good.

During our assessment we spoke with 10 people and 5 relatives. People and their relatives felt safe and knew who to speak to if they had any concerns. Some feedback from relatives gave mixed views with concerns over aspects of cleanliness. The registered manager responded to these concerns and improvements made. The relatives told us they felt involved in their loved one's care planning. People told us they were looked after by kind and caring staff. Where gaps in people receiving care had been identified the provider had responded and increased staffing cover. People and their relatives told us they had no concerns about how staff supported them with the medicines.
