Patients we spoke with told us they were "really happy" with the service and "it is the sort of place one recommends." We found that appropriate information was given to patients about their treatment and patients said 'you are given enough information to form your own opinion' and 'they always respect your choice.' Patients told us the treatment was of good quality and 'everything is tailored to you.' We found that dentists assessed patients' individual needs before formulating treatment plans and patients were referred for specialist treatment where appropriate.
We found that the practice had not followed up on some areas of risk identified by infection control audits and that infection control guidance had not always been followed. Staff received appropriate infection control training.
We found evidence that appropriate checks had been carried out on staff. Staff files contained evidence of relevant skills, training and qualifications.
We found that patients' comments were taken into account and used to improve the service. The provider carried out audits to assess and monitor the quality of the service.
