During a routine inspection
The registered manager was on maternity leave and there was an acting manager in place who was not on the registration certificate.
We looked at the care records for six people. We also reviewed records relevant to the management and administration of the service.
People told us they liked living in the home one person told us " All the nurses here are very good" " I like the food very much" Another person said " I like it here I know everyone " They also told us that sometimes they couldn't always do the things they wanted due to the numbers of staff on duty.
Three of the staff we spoke to told us that there were not enough staff on in the mornings, they told us that care was rushed and there was no time to interact with people as they would like to.
We observed the serving of food in the dining room people were provided with a choice of nutritious and appetising food and were well supported with their individual needs at meal times.
We observed the administration of medicines and looked closely at the way the home managed the medicines, we found the provider had systems in place to manage and administer medicines safely
