During a routine inspection
We noted the practice operates in a culturally diverse area of Coventry. The practice provides information in different formats to help meet the language needs of people.
Patients described the practice as being welcoming and friendly. Patients spoke very positively about the quality of the service they received. They told us:
“She’s lovely (the dentist). I am a very nervous patient…she listens…I can’t say a bad thing about her.”
“Staff are very helpful and friendly.”
“I’m a bit dental phobic…they understand anxiety and have taught me to relax over the years.”
“I changed address and moved dentist so it would be easier, but I’ve come back to Bhandal…I have confidence in Bhandal surgery.”
"I can't praise Mr Bhandal enough...he's very pleasant and explains everything."
During our visit we saw the practice was clean and tidy. Processes were in place to ensure that equipment was safe to use and high levels of cleanliness maintained.
We looked at the systems the practice has for ensuring quality and safety. We were satisfied that there were good systems in place to monitor and where necessary, improve practice.
