We found evidence that there was an effective recruitment process in place and found policies to back the process up. These included a recruitment procedure, equal opportunities policy and disciplinary and grievance policy.

The provider had an effective system in place to identify, assess and manage risks to the health and safety of people using the service and others.

The service had an effective complaints system in place. We found evidence that complaints received into the service were acknowledged and investigated.

We found that people using the service were supported in promoting their independence and community involvement.

We spoke with five workers from different teams and agencies about the referral process and outcomes for people. They gave us positive feedback about the Reablement Team. They confirmed that the Reablement Team had responded quickly to the referrals they had made and there was good communication between them.

We were told that when people come to the end of their support they were asked to complete a 'What do you think?' form. Comments included, 'What a wonderful service, didn't know there was so much available. The ladies who have visited me have been so helpful and kind,' 'you have all impressed me with your professionalism, courtesy, patience, professionalism and good humour,' 'the service from the ladies was brilliant,' and 'what a great service you provide, don't stop!'
