During a routine inspection
Patients we spoke with were very satisfied with the service and treatment they received. One patient told us "I needed an emergency appointment, I rang this morning and they fitted me straight in'. Two other patients told us that they travelled from another town for appointments 'we've always been very happy with the standard of care provided.'
We saw records that confirmed that all consultations were recorded and any treatment was consented to. Paper copies of patient declaration and treatment plans were kept in addition to electronic records.
The surgeries were clean, hygienic with appropriate dental equipment. We saw that the service followed the procedures and policies for infection control.
We looked at training records that showed that staff received the necessary training and skill development to help them perform their role safely and to a good standard.
