During a routine inspection
We also spoke with people's family members and other people who were important to them. One person's relative told us: 'Sevacare goes over and above what we might expect'. Another person said: 'The care workers understand the needs; they are amazing; I cannot praise them enough'.
We found that people's care plans were detailed and contained information about their individual needs and preferences. We found that care workers understood how to maintain people's dignity. We found that Sevacare had robust recruitment procedures to promote people's safety.
We saw that clear safeguarding procedures were in place and that care workers understood their responsibilities for ensuring people's safety. We found that Sevacare had systems in place for monitoring the quality of the care provided. A recent investigation into the care of a person leading up to a hospital admission did not find any evidence of poor care, but did provide opportunities for managers and care workers at Sevacare to review the way they managed some of their procedures.
