Our view of the service
Date of assessment: 16 September to 27 September 2024. This assessment was in response to CQC receiving information of concern about the care of people using the service and the supply of personal protective equipment (PPE). We found people received safe care and support which met their individual needs, we also found adequate supplies of PPE available throughout the service. Riverdale is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care to up to 40 people. The service provides support to adults and people living with dementia. At the time of our inspection there were 20 people using the service. At our last inspection in November 2017, this location was rated good. Following this assessment the service continues to be rated good.
People's experience of this service
People felt safe living at Riverdale and the staff were friendly. Not everyone at Riverdale was able to talk to us about their experience of the service so we carried out observations throughout our visit and spoke to people's relatives and representatives to gather their views and opinions. We received positive feedback, overall relatives told us they felt their family members were well cared for and were also complimentary about how staff treated people.
