You & Me Supported Living Limited is a supported living service providing personal care to people in their own homes. We looked at 13 quality statements: learning culture, safeguarding, involving people to manage risks, safe environments, safe and effective staffing, infection prevention and control, medicines optimisation, shared direction and vision, capable compassionate and inclusive leaders, freedom to speak up, governance management and sustainability, partnership and community and learning improvement and innovation. We conducted an announced assessment on 22 August 2024 online. We conducted an onsite assessment on 29 August 2024, in which we visited people who use the service at their homes. We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people, and providers must have regard to it. The registered manager was aware of this guidance and ensured people experienced a good quality of life and were treated with dignity, respect and support to live their lives how they wanted. There were enough staff to meet people's needs, staff were knowledgeable about the needs of the people they cared for, and there were robust and safe recruitment practices in place. However, not all risks had been fully assessed and documented to ensure robust systems were in place. The provider took immediate action during the assessment to rectify the concerns we identified. Following the assessment, the service received an overall rating of good. However, we found one breach of the legal regulations in relation to good governance of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) regulations 2014.
