During a routine inspection
Care plans were generally personalised and provided sufficient guidance for staff to deliver care. Care workers had a good knowledge of people's individual needs, and said communication between shifts was good.
The building was well maintained, clean and tidy. People told us their rooms were kept clean. Systems were in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. All staff received infection control training, and personal protective equipment was provided.
No concerns were raised about the availability of care workers to provide support and assistance as required. Care workers told us they thought staffing levels were sufficient to meet people's needs. They also said they felt well supported through supervision, and were up to date with their training, which equipped them with the skills they needed to care for people.
People were aware of the complaints procedure. One person said 'I know where to complain, if I am not happy.' There was a system in place for recording complaints, and complaints had been responded to appropriately.
