Responsive
People received person-centred care which respected their individual needs and wishes. People were treated as individuals and their views sought and listened to.

Person-centred Care
We observed staff supporting people in a person-centred way. Staff were kind and attentive to people and their needs. People and staff appeared to know each other well. People’s communication needs were detailed within their care plans. Staff had good awareness, skills and understanding of individual communication needs, they knew how to facilitate communication and when people were trying to tell them something
People's views were sought so the registered manager could provide care and support to their individual needs. People and their relatives were positive about the care they received. People told us, "The care I receive suits me fine, no complaints." and "[staff] are very attentive and quick to respond. Thank goodness for them I say." Relatives told us, "Our experience has been good. They have listened to [relative], about [person's] needs and wants, " and "They had a dog to visit residents the other day – staff make the place, all friendly."
