During a routine inspection
Patients' care and treatment reflected relevant research and guidance. We looked at provider records and saw evidence that the dentist undertook specialist training in children's dental care.
None of the parents we spoke with expressed concern about the safety of their children at the practice. One parent told us 'the dentist is good with children.'
We saw that the waiting area and treatment rooms were clean and clutter free. The provider had a dedicated room for cleaning and sterilising dental instruments. Staff could explain the process to be followed to ensure that dental instruments were properly cleaned and sterilised. The provider's sterilising machine had been serviced within the last 12 months, in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
None of the patients we spoke with expressed concerns about the cleanliness of the treatment rooms and overall environment.
Neither of the parents we spoke with expressed concerns about accuracy of records or confidentiality.
