Safeguarding
Involving people to manage risks
The provider worked with people to understand and manage risks by thinking holistically. Staff provided care to meet people’s needs that was safe, supportive and enabled people to do the things that mattered to them. The person using the service told us, “I like living here. They’re ever so kind and got time for you.” At our last assessment people’s care was not always delivered safely and information relating to risk assessments were not always recorded. At this assessment risk assessments were thorough, and the manager had implemented systems to ensure that risk assessments were updated and were personalised to meet people’s needs.
