During a routine inspection
We found improvements were being made to the planning of people's care and support to better meet their needs. A person who used the service told us, 'It is fine when my regular carer comes, otherwise it is a bit erratic.'
We found there were not suitable arrangements in place to manage people's medication and ensure they received any medication they needed. Information about the medication people took copied onto medicine administration records (MAR sheets) was not always clearly written or written correctly.
We found the provider had employed a consultant who had improved their recruitment process and was making further improvements to how they assessed and monitored the quality of the service. A person told us, 'I had one carer who was slovenly and left things lying around, but they have left. The rest have all been very good.' Another person told us, 'Things are acted upon' A relative told us, 'We can always ring the manager, the main issue for us is having the same carers.'
