During a themed inspection looking at Offender Healthcare
People were involved in the assessment of their needs and planning and reviewing their care and treatment. They were given information to enable them to understand their conditions and the services they were being offered. People's agreement was sought to participate in therapies and to share their personal information with others. Good links had been established with HMP Norwich, which had an inpatient unit, and local NHS secure mental health services. We found that people who required more intensive support were transferred to these services without delay.
There were effective arrangements in place to ensure that medicines were prescribed and given to people in a way that met their needs. People who failed to take their medicines were followed up to ensure they received their treatment as prescribed.
