During an inspection looking at part of the service
The practice sent us an action plan which outlined what it would do to improve infection control. The action plan covered all our areas of concern and we were told improvements would be made within an acceptable time frame. We went back to the practice in October 2013 to check on these improvements having been told they would be completed.
We found the improvements described by the practice had been made to a good standard. The decontamination room now had ventilation to deal with excessive temperatures. Flooring had been replaced and wear and tear to paintwork repaired. Sinks in clinical rooms now met technical requirements. The domestic cleaning regime was now driven by a schedule of tasks to be completed.
