All Inspections

During a routine inspection
We spoke with three women during our visit and were told by all three that they had been given sufficient information prior to their appointment and again on arrival. One person told us, "They explained everything and information given to me enabled me to make a decision." Another person told us, in relation to consent, "Information was provided and I felt able to say proceed." Staff understood their responsibilities for ensuring that patients were able to consent to the screening procedures.
People who had attended the service expressed very complimentary comments with respect to their experiences. For instance one person said, "I have been treated very well, they were reassuring throughout." Another person said, "Everything has been brilliant." This person also said, "They have been really considerate and made me feel like the most important person." We were told by the third person, "Everything has been perfect as far as I am concerned" We observed staff to be kind and caring when in discussion or supporting patients.
The environment was suitably designed and organised to ensure the safe delivery of the services provided. Staff had access to training and development, and were supported in their roles in order to ensure a high and consistent level of service. There was evidence of positive working.
Records that related to patients and staff were managed in accordance with best practice, ensuring that people's confidentiality and data protection was maintained.

During a routine inspection
One person however contacted us following the inspection and told us 'I couldn't recommend them highly enough'. We sampled cards and letters sent by women who had used the service. All the feedback we received and saw was very complimentary about the service and praised the efficiency and professionalism of all staff working at the centre.
