We carried out this on-site announced assessment on 2 September 2024. We found the practice had met regulations. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance and infection control procedures followed published guidance. Patients were treated with dignity and respect, and at the time of our assessment, patients could access care, support and treatment when required. The practice had systems to manage risks. However, improvements could be made to the oversight of the risks associated with Legionella. City Health Care Dental Services - Beverley Health Centre provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children. A building management contractor was responsible for ensuring that facilities were safe, and that equipment was maintained according to manufacturers’ instructions, including electrical and gas appliances. The management contractor was also responsible for the management of fire and Legionella. At the time of our assessment, the dental team included 2 dentists, 2 dental nurses, a receptionist and a practice manager. The practice had 2 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with 1 dentist, 1 dental nurse, the receptionist, the dental service manager, the operations manager and the clinical director.
