Our view of the service

Date of assessment 14 Feb to 19 Feb 2024. We assessed a total of 19 quality statements from the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions and found areas of good practice. The scores for these areas have been combined with scores based on the key question ratings from the last inspection. The assessment of these quality statements indicated areas of good practice since the last inspection and our overall rating remains good. Supreme Care Services (Caterham) is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care people in their own homes who have care needs, such as deteriorating mobility, health conditions and people that are living with dementia. The assessment was carried out remotely. We found that since the last inspection the leadership team had developed a clear oversight of the service, had reinforced a positive culture amongst the workforce and had identified ways in which improvements could be made. Staff were skilled and their well being was supported within an inclusive workplace. There were processes in place which facilitated prompt information sharing and promoted peoples involvement, choice and control in the care they received. Staff understood how to keep people safe and reported concerns for peoples safety if they had concerns. There were systems in place to protect people from abuse. Staff were recruited safely and were provided with an induction and training programme which supported them to be well equipped for the role.
