We assessed a total of one quality statement from this key question. We found the provider was providing well led care in accordance with the relevant regulations. Systems and processes had improved. Regular quality assurance and patient safety meetings took place, this enabled managers to effectively manage and monitor key patient safety information, take action and escalate when necessary.

At the previous inspection we found several areas for improvement in relation to good governance. During this inspection we found that managers and staff had made the necessary changes to improve the service and meet the requirements of the regulations. This included improved incident reporting and systems and processes to monitor medicines management. Audits of medicines and long-term conditions were significantly better, meaning managers had oversight of risk, quality and performance of each area. Managers had successfully recruited mental health staff and an active programme of groupwork was available for patients. Through regular performance reporting and onsite quality visits NHS England commissioners felt the service had progressed well to meet the requirement notices issued following our last inspection in October 2023.
