During a routine inspection
The provider told us people were pre-assessed prior to service being offered to them. We noted people and their representatives were involved in the assessment and were able to give their views on their preferences and the care and treatment they wanted to receive.
Staff we spoke to told us people had individualized care plans and people received care and treatment in accordance with their identified needs. We reviewed care records and found people were involved in planning the care they received. We noted people signed their care plans indicting their consent to the care and treatment they received.
We found people were protected from the risk of abuse as staff were trained in safeguarding. We found the staff were knowledgeable and knew how to raise a safeguarding alert if there were concerns about peoples safety.
Staff told us they were supported to deliver care and treatment to people at an appropriate standard. We reviewed records and saw staff were regularly supervised and they were appraised annually.
The provider had a system in place to monitor and assess the quality of the service they delivered.
