We received concerns in relation to staffing and support provided to people about the care home. As a result, we undertook a responsive inspection to review the key questions of safe and well-led only. We carried out a site visit to the care home on 6 and 13 December 2024 as part of the assessment. This assessment was carried out by an assessor, an inspector, regulatory coordinator and an Expert by Experience. An expert by experience is a person who has personal experience of using or caring for someone who uses this type of care service. Assessment activity started on 6 December 2024 and ended on 8 January 2025. We looked at 10 quality statements as part of this assessment. We spoke with 13 people and 3 relatives as part of this assessment. Springfield Care Centre is a residential care home providing accommodation with personal care for up to 80 elderly people. At the time of this assessment, 78 people were living at the service. People living in the home have their own bedrooms and there are shared communal spaces, including lounges, a kitchen and a garden area.
