During a routine inspection
We reviewed the provider's safeguarding policy and found that it gave staff sufficient guidance on how to report any suspected abuse. Staff training records viewed demonstrated to us that staff had completed safeguarding of vulnerable adults (SOVA). Staff spoken with knew who to contact and how to report any SOVA concerns. However, we found that people's care plans and other records did not include any information on SOVA or who people could contact if they ever had a SOVA concern.
Our review of staff recruitment files evidenced that the provider had a robust and effective recruitment process with records of proof that the staff were suitable to work with people who used the service. People could be confident that they were cared for by staff who had been assessed as being fit and able to care for them.
Our review of the provider's latest customer satisfaction survey demonstrated to us that the majority of comments were positive about the care they had been provided with. One person said, "I had a small problem when I first started to use the service but I rang the manager and it was sorted immediately."
