Before people received any care or treatment they were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes and where people did not have the capacity to consent, the provider acted in accordance with legal requirements. One patient said, 'They explain my treatment and reasons for it to me at every visit'. Another patient said, 'The dentist explained what needed to be done to my son and also sought my consent before they proceeded. They are good'.
Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare.
We spoke with two patients who used the practice about their experience of Holborough dental care. They told us that they liked the practice. They commented, 'They are good here and it has been nice'.
People who used the service were not protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had not taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.
