Updated 12 November 2024
Date of assessment 3 December 2024 to 18 December 2024. This assessment was prompted by CQC receiving information of concern. The provider had not acted following the last assessment to make improvements to the governance systems and safety of people living in the home. We found 2 breaches of the legal regulations. People did not always receive safe care, risks were not always considered, when incidents occurred learning was not consistently shared, and medicines were not always managed safely. Processes in place to manage governance and check the quality of the care people received were not consistently effective and there was limited evidence of staff engaging in developing the home. However, staff engaged well with partners and safeguarded people from abuse, including speaking up if they were concerned about the service. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found in this assessment. In instances where CQC has decided to take civil or criminal enforcement action against a provider, we will publish this information on our website after any representations and/ or appeals have been concluded.
