During a routine inspection
People held their own files and we found they had been fully involved and consulted about the content of the files. Health and personal care needs had been delivered in accordance with their care plans. People told us about the active and fulfilling lives they lead. Comments included, 'It's a busy house!' and 'I like living here!'
We saw staff sitting and talking with people in a friendly and respectful manner, and people were smiling and laughing. People praised the service and told us they liked the staff. There was always sufficient staff available to meet their needs. They told us they felt safe, and they knew who to speak with if they had any concerns or complaints.
The provider had systems in place to monitor the quality of the service and make improvements where necessary. People's views had been sought in a variety of ways including questionnaires, formal and informal meetings, and through consultation about their support needs. People had been supported to make complaints where necessary and these had been listened to and acted upon.
