During our inspection we were unable to speak with people who use the service as no appointments were booked on the day we visited the clinic. The information regarding the charges was easily available to each of the people visiting the practice.
People's needs were assessed and care and support was planned and delivered in line with their individual support plan.
We saw that the clinic and the equipment used were clean and there were suitable procedures to ensure people were not at risk of health care associated infections.
The dentist working at the clinic was suitably qualified and held appropriate registration with the organisation regulating dental professionals. We noted that they maintained their knowledge and skills related to their professional practice. However, only minimal support was offered to the dental nurse working at the practice.
The provider did not have systems in place to make sure patients were provided with the information on how to complain and to ensure their comments were listened to and acted on effectively.
