During a routine inspection
People had given their signed consent to treatment and we saw evidence that the risks of some vaccines and immunisations had been explained in full. People were given the choice about whether to proceed with treatment.
Full medical and family histories were taken so that people could be given the most appropriate and safe treatment for their individual circumstances. We spoke with four people about their experiences of the service. One person told us : ' I was very happy with it all'. Another person said; ' It was what I expected and much more'.
Medicines had been appropriately managed by the service and we found that staff had been fully trained to administer them.
A recent survey of people conducted by the service, found that 100% of participants were satisfied with their experience. Action had been taken to rectify an issue about incoming calls. Regular auditing was being used to identify areas for improvement and there were a wide range of policies in place to ensure consistent delivery of the service.
