During a routine inspection
People were included in the planning and delivery of their care. We saw evidence that an initial assessment of people's needs took place and that personal goals were agreed with them to help them become more independent. People also had the opportunity to feedback on their care. We saw evidence that an annual survey took place. The 2012 survey indicated that the majority of people were happy with their care.
We spoke with four members of staff about their knowledge of safeguarding people from abuse. They all demonstrated an understanding of the signs of abuse and the actions they would take if they suspected abuse was taking place. We found that staff were appropriately trained and supported to undertake their roles. The four members of staff we spoke with all stated they enjoyed their jobs and found the management to be approachable.
