During a routine inspection
We spent time observing a patient's consultation and treatment with their permission. This helped us to gain an insight into how patient's care and treatment was being managed. We found staff were able to discuss and provide treatment in a timely and unhurried way.
Patients spoke highly of the way they were treated by staff and were happy with the care and support shown to them during the course of their treatment. Comments from patients and parents included, 'The staff have been really good.' And, "The service has been superb, absolutely fabulous, I would recommend them to anybody."
Patients and parents we spoke with felt they were given enough information about treatment options. They were kept informed about how the treatment was progressing throughout the process. One person said, "Everything is explained, every step of the way.'
There were systems in place at this practice to reduce the risk and spread of infection. During our visit we spoke to clinical staff who were knowledgeable about the safe practices required to meet the essential standards of Department of Health Guidance.
