During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this on-site announced assessment on 22 October 2024. We found the practice had met regulations. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance and infection control procedures were in place. The practice had systems to manage risks. Mydentist Warmsworth Road - Doncaster is part of Mydentist a dental group provider. The practice is in Doncaster and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children. There was step free access to the practice and car parking spaces were available at the practice or nearby on local roads. The practice had 4 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with 1 dentist, 2 dental nurses, 1 dental therapists, 1 receptionist and the practice manager. The team was supported by a group compliance officer during the assessment.

During a routine inspection

We spoke with four people who used the service on the day of the inspection. They gave positive feedback about the standard of the service. One person said, 'The staff here are great. Very accommodating.'

We found that people's views and experiences were taken into account in the way the service was provided and delivered in relation to their care. People told us they were treated with respect and in a way that upheld their dignity.

People experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights. We saw evidence that people received safe and appropriate care that met their needs.

People who used the service were protected from the risk of infection. Processes were in place to ensure staff were aware of and adhered to infection control procedures.

The information reviewed at the inspection showed that good practice was followed in supporting and training staff.

The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received.
