Drs Leung, Gregson, Mallick, Sherrell & Hobbs is located in Bordon, Hampshire at Forest Surgery and has a branch surgery at Badgerswood Surgery. Patients can access services at either surgery. The provider is registered with CQC to deliver the Regulated Activities; diagnostic and screening procedures, maternity and midwifery services and treatment of disease, disorder or injury and surgical procedures. The practice is situated within the NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board (ICB) and delivers General Medical Services (GMS) to a patient population of about 17,000. We carried out an announced assessment covering quality statements under Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led key questions from 15 July 2024 to the 24 July 2024. The on-site visit took place on 17 July 2024 and 24 July 2024. In addition, we carried out the assessment from 6 December 2024 and 11 December 2024. The on-site visit took place on 11 December 2024. This was an assessment to check whether improvements had been made following our previous inspection. This service has been in Special Measures. The provider demonstrated improvements that have been made and the rating has improved to good. Therefore, this service is no longer in Special Measures. During this assessment we found the practice had made improvements in relation to the recruitment of staff and the ongoing monitoring of training, appraisal and supervision to ensure staff provided safe care and treatment. We identified improvements had been made to the management of infection prevention control and there were appropriate fire safety arrangements at both premises. Time was needed for newly introduced processes to monitor and review patients prescribed high-risk medicines and patients with long-term conditions to become embedded.
