Fosse Medical Centre

Date of Assessment: 14 January 2025 to 31 January 2025. Fosse Medical Centre is a GP practice and delivers services to approximately 11,000 patients under a contract held with NHS England. National General Practice Profiles states that the practice patients are 67% White, 14% Asian, 11% Black, 5% Mixed and 3% Other. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the second lowest decile (2 of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the practice, the context the practice was working within and how this impacted practice delivery. People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including from the National GP Patient Survey and the NHS Friends and Family Test, showed people were satisfied with services. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the practice, The PPG developed a notice board and a newsletter for the practice population to cascade information. Representatives from the PPG described how managers made positive changes because of feedback, such as implementing a new phone system at the practice and increasing patient routes for accessing appointments.
