Date of assessment 8 July to 17 July 2024. 197 Bagnall Road is a is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care and support to older people and younger adults with a physical disability, people living with dementia, autistic people, people with a learning disability, people with sensory impairment and people living with mental health issues. At the time of the assessment, the service was supporting 2 people with their personal care needs. This was our first assessment at 197 Bagnall Road. New services are assessed to check they are likely to be safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led when they register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We assessed a total of 33 quality statements from the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions. The assessment of these 33 quality statements indicated areas of good practice. Our overall rating is good. We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it.
