During a routine inspection
Our conversations with people supported by One to One Community Care demonstrated that the agency maintained people's dignity, privacy and respected people's individual choices. One person told us, 'the carers know what time I like to get up and go to bed and know exactly how I like things to be done.'
People were positive about the support they received from the agency. One person stated,'I'm moving to a new property within the area covered by One to One as there's no way I'd leave them.'
One person replied, 'extremely so' when asked if they felt safe when being supported by members of care staff from One to One Community Care. Our conversations staff and our check of records demonstrated that the agency were aware of, and followed local safeguarding procedures in order to safeguard the people they supported.
We found that staff received regular supervision and an annual appraisal. We also noted that staff received a range of training courses and were given opportunities to undertake further training.
We saw that the agency had appropriate systems to gather, record and evaluate the quality and safety of care provided.
