Updated 29 August 2024
We had previously undertaken an unannounced on-site assessment of Primadent Limited on 14 August 2024, in response to information of concern. The assessment focused on infection prevention and control under the safe key question. During our previous assessment, we found the registered provider was providing safe care in relation to infection prevention and control. We undertook a further on-site assessment on 10 December 2024 to assess the remaining topics of the safe key question and the effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions. We found the practice had met regulations. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance. The practice had systems to manage risks. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required. The practice is in Liverpool and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children. There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available near the practice. At the time of our assessment, the practice had 4 treatment rooms and the total number of staff was 9. During the assessment we spoke with 1 dentist, 2 dental nurses and 1 dental therapist who is also the clinical lead.
