During a routine inspection

We spoke with four people who used the service and the relative of one person who received a service from MiHomecare Chippenham. We spoke with the branch manager and seven members of staff. All staff we spoke with were professional and demonstrated a good understanding of their job role and a commitment to providing a good caring service. We received positive comments from a healthcare provider who used the agency.

People told us 'The agency are very good and all the staff are helpful and very kind to me', 'I have every confidence in the carers who come and help me' and 'I get regular carers and they are all very good at their jobs'.

All staff had a good awareness of safeguarding issues and their responsibilities in safeguarding people. They received training when they first started working for the agency and then again on a yearly basis. Staff were well trained and supported to do their jobs.

The provider had an effective system in place to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received. Any complaints made about the service provided were handled appropriately.
