During a routine inspection
We spoke with nine people who used the service. They all told us they were happy with the care and support they received. One person said "I know the girls and they are lovely. They look after me and help me. I am very satisfied with the service". Another said "I always get the same two or three carers, I know them well. Nothing is too much trouble for them". All the people we spoke with said they felt respected and involved in their care. One said "they are polite and respectful and they let me know what's going on". People also told us they felt safe in their care and that they knew how to make a complaint if they needed to.
We spoke with two team leaders and three care workers. They told us they enjoyed working for the service and they felt well trained and supported. One care worker said "I had induction training that really prepared me for the role". Another said "I spent two weeks shadowing an experienced care worker. That was so useful and I learnt a lot".
We looked at records and found them to be well maintained and up to date. We saw that care workers had been appropriately recruited and trained and that the service monitored its performance and responded to changes in peoples circumstances.
We found the service to be safe, caring, effective, responsive to peoples' needs, and well led.
