During a routine inspection
We spoke with three people who used the service or their representative. People told us that they had copies of their care plans and confirmed that they were always involved in any care planning with the provider. Comments included: 'We always get regular carers who are very caring and very attentive'; 'Staff always arrive on time' and 'Staff are not rushed.'
We spoke with four staff including the registered manager and area manager. Two care staff were able to tell us about how they met the different needs of people. They told about the training they received to make sure they were able to care for peoples care needs. Comments from Staff included: "I had a good induction which included shadowing the Intermediate Care Team for a whole day when providing care' and 'I can raise any concerns with the manager and they will be taken seriously.'
The provider had systems in place to identify, assess and manage risks and to ensure that care was delivered effectively and to people's satisfaction.
