Magna Care Centre is a care home which provides personal care and nursing for up to 69 people. There were 50 people living at the home during this assessment. The home aims to meet the needs of older people including some people living with dementia and frailty of old age. The assessment was carried out between 2 July and 3 July 2024. There were enough staff on duty to meet people’s needs. Staff knew how to support people in a person-centred way, which promoted their independence. Staff felt supported and had the necessary skills to do their job. People’s views and preferences were communicated and acted upon. People were supported to maintain relationships that were important to them. They were empowered and encouraged to express their views and provide feedback.
