During a routine inspection
The people who we spoke with had positive opinions about the treatment they were receiving to help them in their recovery. One person said 'the therapists are amazing they don't let you get away with anything, and that is what I need'. Another person told us, 'the staff are really good and they are passionate about what they do'.
People were given support and guidance from the staff when it was needed to cook and eat varied and nutritious meals.
People were protected from the risk of abuse because staff understood what it was. The staff were also aware of the actions needed to safeguard people from abuse.
People were protected from the risks of unsuitable staff being recruited to work at Gladstones Accommodation 2. People were further protected because there were risk assessments in place to ensure that only suitable staff worked at the service.
The provider had a system in place to monitor the quality of service people received. Where improvements to the service people received were identified, these acted upon without undue delay.
