During a routine inspection
During this inspection, we spoke with five people who used the service, four relatives, four staff members, the manager and the quality and compliance manager of the provider who was also present.
The people and the relatives that we spoke with were happy with the care they received. One person said, 'All the carers are excellent.' Another person told us, 'I absolutely receive excellent care.' One relative told us, 'I feel very comfortable with the service.'
People told us that they were treated with respect and that they and their relatives were involved in decisions about their care.
An assessment of people's needs had been carried out before they used the service. Risk assessments were in place to ensure that people's day to day living was safe.
The staff we spoke with were able to demonstrate a good knowledge of how to reduce the spread of infection when providing people with personal care.
The required checks on staff had taken place before they started working to ensure that they were of good character.
The service had plans in place to monitor the quality of the care and support they provided.
