Well-led
The governance of the service had improved. At our last inspection we served 2 warning notices in response to a breach of 2 regulations. At this inspection the provider had met these and was compliant with regulations. A new management team were in place and had made improvements in the service. The provider had a range of quality assurance processes in place, and these were used effectively. Staff told us they were better supported since the new managers had started.

Capable, compassionate and inclusive leaders
Staff told us that there had been several changes to management lately and this had caused some instability. However, they told us there had been recent improvements and the current manager was very supportive and approachable. 1 staff member said they felt valued, supported and motivated by the current management team. Staff said any feedback they provided would be listened to and acted on.
The provider had developed a new management team who were being supported to make improvements in the home.

Governance, management and sustainability
At our last inspection we served warning notices in relation to safe care and treatment and governance. The provider had worked hard to meet these notices and were now compliant. There were effective systems in place to monitor the safety and quality of the service. Regular checks and audits were completed, and actions were added to the service improvement plan to ensure there was continuous improvement. Effective communication systems were in place to ensure staff were kept up to date with any changes to people's care and support systems to staff. The registered manager understood their responsibilities to notify CQC and other relevant authorities of any incidents which took place that affected people who used the service.
Staff told us there had been recent improvements in the governance of the home. 1 member of staff said, “He [manager] leads well.” Another staff member said, “We [staff] have regular team meetings. All information is very good, and we always get to talk about what we can improve and if there are any problems.”
